Basic Rules

  • Take adequate clothing for walking the paths i.e. comfortable footwear for walking and clothes appropriate to the season.(Not forgetting that climatic conditions can change between the valley bottom and the mountain tops)
  • Go equipped with a mobile telephone, a small first aid kit, water and energy-giving foods.
  • Respect the environment by not making unnecessary noise that could disturb villagers, livestock and wildlife; use rubbish bins and containers for disposing of any rubbish, and leave any gates encountered on the walk securely closed.
